I think your project is great but could do with an app that allowed me to transfer data/samples to and from the Push first and foremost.

Right, but I wouldn’t mind sometimes just being able to use my phone to access my samples and chops without having to open my computer and starting Live.S4racen wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 1:58 pmThats called Ableton Live?jeanvoyage wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 1:48 pmI think your project is great but could do with an app that allowed me to transfer data/samples to and from the Push first and foremost.

It’s a companion app that Ableton should actually make…

Re: Push3 Standalone Companion App
Dude you know that it’s not the same and it's just another kind of convoluted workaround if I first have to import my stuff in the Note database so I can load it into a sampler so I can sync that project to the cloud so I can download it on the Push if I have the beta installed (last step will eventually be irrelevant).
Re: Push3 Standalone Companion App
Ableton have released Note, it's their app, the likelihood of them releasing something else after all these years is as likely as something very unlikely.

Re: Push3 Standalone Companion App
Yeah I can see that. Although you could argue that having released a more fully featured app does not prevent you from releasing utilities that enhance the workflow of you other products. TE haven’t not released a transcription app for their dictaphone because they have also released an OP-Z companion app and a smartphone pocket operator app (on Android).
I think there’s a use case. Is the file transfer protocol between Live and Push open so that a third party could write an app that allows us to access the Push user directory and place content there from the phone’s file system?
Re: Push3 Standalone Companion App
Probably best to open your own thread for that...

Just a note on a file transfer app - just released a new version of PushKin which does exactly that.

MPC like iPad companion screen for samples and automation
The one thing I like better on the MPC is the large touch screen and its functionality for sample manipulation automation, and device controls. It would be great to have an iPad companion app that could achieve as much of that as possible.
If Ableton put a little iPad groove in the next push (like you see on treadmills etc) the ipad could sit right on the Push3. This would completely close the gap on one major feature set of the MPC's.
