Yeah... the Apple store is cool for that reason.


I hate them, though.... because the sales people have all been brainwashed with Apple propaganda... and will lie to every customer who comes in there... without remorse.

In addition, if you have an Apple store in your state... then you will be forced to pay sales tax on any purchase from the Apple website.

I would prefer not to pay an additional 7% tax on a $3,500 computer purchase if I didn't have to. How about you guys?

yep, and its total bullshit.
if i buy things from online stores of nearly any other retailer with stores in my state (fry's, bestbuy, etc.) they dont charge tax. they'll only charge tax if their warehouse is in the same state.

thats why i buy from www.macmall.com
no tax.

I would say you need at least 1 gb of ram in a powerbook to run live 5, i had 640mb and it wasnt up to it (pops and glitches galore) I've noticed a big decrease in dropouts with the extra ram now.
