dunno if other midi controllers do that (cause i haven't had the chance to try them all....yet) but the 3X config software accept a full MIDI string hexa for any control.

The result? well, instead of firing 1 midi even for 1 control (say a button), you can fire 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc all in 1 go
Great for combos Street-Fighter style....ok maybe not, but u get the drift.

Applies for any control

Cool, I would be curious to see how well it works live...

I go into slightly more detail regarding cutoff slopes, resonance and other stuff here;

That thing looks sweet but 500 bucks is pricey for a controller.

Not really considering all it does. Most fader banks alone are 200.00,
and a decent audio interface can easily run you 200 as well.

this is a quality, flexible piece of gear that will potentially last years.

one 'used' Technics 1210 is at least $500, right? thats for one ... no mixer ..

Probably cheaper than the maven will be when that comes out. The maven will probably be 700+. It IS cool as hell looking though...who doesn't love lots of colored lights! ;)

Yeah that is true, a good mixer is 500+ (Allen & Heath is triple that!)so if you look at it like that its not bad. I will stick with my Ozonic and two Behringer controllers for now. They do the job just fine until the Maven or something better comes out. ;)

what i mean is apolomba was justifying the price by saying it had audio....which it doesn't. i don't doubt this thing is well built and a good bit of kit. i think a lot of people overlook the build when considering these things. even though i think the 3X needs more buttons i'm still considering one (and yeah i've just got a faderfox too but i need more knobs :) )
