I'm looking to make something that has 16 pitch controls, all in knob form. I find that the 0-127 is just too "steppy" for certain applications, and I want to 16 transmit pitch controls on channels 1-16, and map 'em to filters...

yeah the midibox is intimidating ,
go to midi boutique their stuff is already built & much less complicated .
http://www.midiboutique.com
i got a board from them where i could plug 64 pots & something like 320 buttons or switches .
also i think the mauzer is nearly out ,that's always an option :

this Midiboutique thing is very interesting, does anyone know something about that? I would like to have a Maven style controller made.
