Yeah. I figured that red glow did not look the same as the glow from the same tube in my guitar amp. My amp really sounded warm but the blue tube nevery really did. And yet, I loved to see it glow for some reason. I ended up getting a couple preamps and use the blue tube only occasionally now to plug an acoustic guitar into.

it's the same on Vox's Tonelab, in which btw the tube really works and adds crispness to the sound. And leds are nice anyway.
