In Live 7, it should. Or else, I'll be kinda annoyed. Group tracks and LFO Plugin are the two I'm hoping the most for though.

I think this is a brilliant idea but would go one stage further and add that a thin dotted green line on every octave (eg under every C note) and on every bar would also aid viewing in addition to the shading. :D

and another... good idea on the octaves thing too... while were at it, why not shade the black keys a little?

I don't think this is a good idea at all, unless its an option you can bypass. At least I can't imagine that the people calling for this change are the same ones that want the ability to change time signatures. The aforementioned setup only works if everything you write is in 4/4 - otherwise its would just seem distracting to me. How would it work when you change the time sigs, especially to those with 8, 16, or 32 denominators?

this would be a great addition indeed.

I don't see the problem with changing to triplet view etc.

As it stands when you change to triplet grid, it redraws the divisions accordingly.
No reason to assume that the same couldn't be done with shading or emboldening the major beat divisions.

Also someone mentioned shading the black notes a little. errr.. i think you'll find they already are!
