I love Lemon 8/Harry Lemon tracks! Needless to say I was pretty excited when I saw he had that new track out there. I was also happy to find a new Echomen track

Getting the final mix to sound perfect is tricky because like you've probably noticed there's a fine line between being nice a clear with really tight bass and getting muddy.

Like I said, Vintage Warmer didn't agree with me...my mixes came out too muddy. In general, if you focus under 100hz, your mixes will get really muddy. I usually do a cutoff at around 30hz, and I usually focus on the bass pop at around 200-300hz to get my bass kickin'.
Having said that, I still think that the meatiness of a mix comes from overall limiting. I'm not sure if you're on Mac or PC, but if PC, then Elephant is the best limiter I've ever had experience with. It's better an Waves limiters, and probably better than many hardware limiters too. If you're on Mac, I beleive you can still check out T-racks for mac.
For me, T-racks compressor with Elephant limiter just brings out details and punch that I didn't even hear during mixdown. Highly highly recommended.
