The real problem with Live- Vox composite/ crossfading

another thing a totally miss (not to get of topic) is the silence tool in PT (cutting away silence on a recording). how hard could that be to make..
use envelopes for where you want to "silence." or just split and drag the ends of a clip in arrange. Or download audacity and use it as your wave editor.

I think he was talking of the "strip silence" function in Pro Tools, that automatically cuts silence parts in an audio clip, like a permanent gate if you like. It's quite well working and can be convenient for certain works, yes !
