Not that, I mean the recording clip. I have to manually stop it after the other clip has finished.
I tried to insert a controller message at the end of the midi clip and routed that to the stop clips button. Works but such a tricky thing to deal with.

You can always let it record a little longer, then just move the end marker so it lines up with the end of the thing you recorded. Then it doesn't matter.
Or you could edit the clip you recorded to delete the tail.

I know all that, but still I feel the lack of a simple copy-render-record choice.
