Look at this video (Reaktor)
Use this to rip sites for offline viewing: http://www.httrack.com/ just remember to turn of 'follow robots.txt rules' under 'spider' tab in the options, once you learn how to use it you can get pretty much anything. See a site with samples? just let it rip em all at the click of a button.
OOPS! sorry guys - load it as standalone - not inside live - and hit the qwerty. It also accepts midi notes from live, but I can't remember which!Michael-SW wrote:Machinate, could you briefly explain how the damn ensemble works? I had no problems getting it to play loops and crossfade between them, but I didn't manage to trigger any glitchy effects. Should they be midi assigned or something?
Didn't manage to bring in the reverb or delay either, but I didn't try too hard.
IT's good fun.. all the fx stuff is triggered by midi.

I was not to impressed with the video. Another guy doing the same old thing.
You want to be impressed? Go watch the Kid Beyond video on this site.

Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

..Beatlook ensemble in Live
is this something NOT possible? Would be great.
Machinate, any idea?

Re: ..Beatlook ensemble in Live
If you're asking if you can use the Beatlookup ens in live as a VST then yeah no problem.Daduk wrote:is this something NOT possible? Would be great.

I know that I can use it in Live actually but I can't get this buzz feature to work. When in standalone mode at least when I press N the buzz button highlights yellow but I don't hear any difference. So actually my question is:
How can I use the KeyControl buttons, which mode do I have to be and can this all be done within Live?
Thanks again.
Ok... you have to make sure the track is highlighted to be edited or you wont hear anything change.
In standalone mode just press 2 so that the red bar is turned on above channel 1. This will now be in edit mode so now everything will work. 3 activates channel 2..... 5 activates channel 3.... and 6 activates channel 6.
Give that a try.
Thats all assuming that you have samples allready loaded in

It does work in live!!!!! I use it myself in there as a VST. All the key functions that are used in reaktor just change to MIDI notes. Just load it in. Arm the track, and press play!
Keys Z,X,C,V,B,N,M, become notes C2-B2 (white notes only)
Keys S,D G,H,J become notes C#2 - A#2 (and all black keys inbetween)
Loop select keys Q,W,E,R,T,Y,U become note C3-B3 (white notes again)
Edit arm keys 2,3,5,6 become C#3, D#3, F#3, G#3
Keep in mind that you can still trigger these from the computer keyboard as long as the Keybord to Midi function is on, though you will have to transpose it down I octave (by pressing Z i think) to get it to start at C2, but you wont get the full 2 octave range. Else do what i do and use a midi controller.

yeah, the key control that Exile is using is actually just reaktor playing midi, just like live can, just mapped differently. I'm currently working on another live looper that will do many of the tricks that exile does. This one will be made for (vocal) live looping - iow Live incoming audio. Should be good.
