anyway, imovie - improved audio tools apparently might/might not be useful.

Today we are going to roll out the first mac with an Intel processor.

So without any more fanfare, it is the iMac.

Tiger 10.4.4 is entirely native on Intel core duo.

Dude I am pissed.

Why did they even bother rolling out the iMacs four months ago? Just to piss the people off that bought them when they bring out these? Like me?

Intel has been coming for a while though. It was obvious the powerbooks would go that way over the next few months.

Edit: and they've still not been announced.

So, two models of the new iMac, 17" with a 1.83ghz CoreDuo
20" model with 2.0ghz CoreDuo
These machines, 2-3 times faster in the SPEC benchmarks, and they are shipping..
TODAY.

enjoy your time with your iMac... free of emulation, native applications, no worrying about software having to be updated and whether you will have to pay for those updates or not...

or sell me your old rubbish G5 iMac for a couple of hundred pounds?? :wink:

hehe, I'm a die-hard pc guy, and -I- think it's cool. The iMac always was an attractive product to me anyway.... *checks the price of the 20*
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
