you should get the bcr over the uc33. The technology of the bcr is more up to date and will work better with live. Transitioning from knobs to faders isn't as dramatic as you may think. I was very stubborn about this but but there is no reason why you can't use knobs over faders. The BCR is much more programable and its midi features are far more capable than the uc33 which when comared to the bcr is far overpriced.

Hey, bottom line, the BCR can be had for around $120 bucks. Its cheap enough to take the risk.
