sorry for being dumb...
can you help me with the maths?
if i buy ABL, it will be 95€
the crossgrade is 50€
so for the price of ABL pro, i'll have both?
does the crossgrade offer work if i buy ABL after ABL pro is released (meaning NOW)?
this seems strange to me.

From their forum admins:
"This synth does not replace ABL - its a companion that speaks the same language."
"ABL Pro doesn't replace ABL in any way."
There ya go..damn does that baby look hot.

Sounds fantastic, but holy cpu slayer. One key on quite a few of the supplied patches can send my G5 iMac up to 70-90% cpu. Is this a Mac issue?

just trying to maximize profit I guess. I would definitely think twice before buying both of them, the pro can do almost any kind of synth sound, and it has the same raw raw oscillator thing going on.

Nah, i can explain this. Because it's partially my fault
ABL Pro was intended to be a monophonic bassline synth.
But the other beta testers and me, felt the need for a polyphonic mode.
So poly patches will take allot of cpu (in some cases)

Can you control number of voices? I'm not in front of ABLP now but I only remember a mono/poly switch.
Do you know if there's room for further optimization, or is poly always going to gobble cpu?
Anything other settings you know of to ease the pain?

I'm not in front either but I remember a screenshot of preferences with a slider labeled "maximum number of voice"....

yeah. voices in the prefs is the key.
Guys and Galls. If you bought it...
It has program changes. Start making banks
this feature will be added to ABL too in the future.

so after a couple of days of playing, i must say that it really does sound good. deep and sharp.
worth every single cent.
plus it seems that it was conceived to be controlled by the BCR2000. almost the same number of knobs and buttons, and a similar layout.
i'll try to send a preset for the BCR.
bjorn, i have a question: once the internal sequencer is launched, it seems that pressing the space bar in Live doesn't stop it.
i always have to click the Run/Stop button on the ABL pro GUI. is that normal?
thansk for the help.
