Yep. People won't see 5.1 as a version number, they'll take it as "Cool, Live does surround now." Common practice with audio software, I can't remember any 5.1 versions of any DAW softs in the past.

Makes perfect sense to others. (correct timing with long audio files or sequences)
I do agree that they should have at least considered that the majority of people would get pissed off about this.
Figuring everybody uses Live in different ways...
just make the stop clips button (not the stop button) to S or something.
hit it when you stop.
when you play it starts from 1
simple.

Yeah. as a faderfox lx1 user, i make heavily use of the stop buttons
And it's always fun to know if you're in time when triggering clips in repeat mode, thanks to the orange dot. (i would like it to change color on every beat, in some sort of color sequence. Giving you 2 visual representations in one)

"stop all clips" stops an de-selects all the selected and playing clips - so when you hit start again you will not hear the clips you were just listening to

Same reason why they'll never release a 6.66, or 9.11
Edit: or 8.08, 9.09 etc. People will simply think Live now ships with legendary drum machines. (wow, really???)
