It's just that people using cracks for evaluation purposes often run into problems once they install the legal versions of the apps ...

It's just best avoided !
(or if one must evaluate in this manner don't do this evaluation on your primary music making computer .... [unless you've got some sort of multiple boot scheme happening]).

There's no need to use cracks when vendors provide proper demo versions of their software.

NOTE: to those who don't provide demo versions of their software...
You are only making it harder for potential customers to try before buying!

I read some peopls on the forum say audio units best for cpu on mac. I never see this ever I always use vst. audio units dont feel so good and some use much more cpu
Do we remember when audio units came on markets and evrery mac user saying audio units will kil vst :roll:

dunno, on my mac system some audio units do work better but it also works the other way... some vst versions of plugs work better as vst than AU.

u should also take into account that every host sequencer has its issues with at least one plugin... so maybe its not so much the platform (vst/au) but the implementation of this within their music app.

even as far as live is concerned, v4 can load some plugins that v5 cant and vice versa...

trial and error is the only thing u can actually rely on!
