Aren't they folded together something like Heaven 17?

Reproduction and Travelogue are still excellent and don't sound dated in the bad way .. and also perhaps the associated EPs although they sound a little ropey these days.
Not too into the later poppier stuff.

Two of my favorite electronic records *ever*.

I don't think many people are aware of how dark, fucked up, and great those records are...

I'd definitely take Human League over Thompson Twins. In fact, I recently went on a bit of an '80s impulse buy at iTunes and didn't even consider the Twins. What I did pick up:

Human League
Pet Shop Boys
Talk Talk
Stranglers
Smiths

... even picked up Tainted Love just for old times sake, and, are you ready for this?... Wang Chung's To Live and Die in LA... I don't know why but I've always loved that song.

Moving on from the 80s, I also picked up Me'Shell Ndegéocello's Comfort Woman and The Spirit Music Jamia: Dance of the Infidel, both of which I'm really digging.

Finally, Bill Laswell's Sacred System, Chapter Two rounded out my shopping spree.

I can't be the only person who's noticed that he looks just like the Avid Merrion Bear. :) http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/t ... index.html

No sorry. Thomson Twins utterly suck. Human League did go off the rails slightly in later years but Being Boiled on it's own could p*** all over anything the TT did. Seconds, DYWM?, and even their cover version of You've Lost That Lovin Feelin. Great. And as I stated elsewhere, Depeche Mode also suck. Can't say it enough. So many crap synthpop groups abounded in the 80s, but you can't beat HL, Propaganda or Soft Cell.

Howard Jones was the missing link of my anthropologic musical lineage hunt. I though it was foreigner at one point, then maybe the twins or human league, but "things can only get better" could be one the most imprtant songs in my unconscious musical development.

Pure auditory dopamine brain surge. Hello, my new name is PAD-BS, nice to meet you!
