nah man.

havent you heard one laptop is sooo last week. its whack [as they say over the pond]. the only way to stand out from the crowd now is to use two laptops. thats the way to be really ahead of the game. if you have two you must be either

a. really, really talented [because only women and supterstar djs can multi task].

or

b. really, really, really cool [because only superstar djs have enough disposable income to spend on two powerbooks].

dont you know man its not about how well you use your tools its the size of your tool box that counts. all these kids with one laptop pah. two is the way to go. then you can really capture the crowds imagination.

"two laptops... ahhh. hes awesome to watch. i wonder what screen saver he uses"

next week see superstar cliche perform on three laptops - turntablist style.

hold on, no

"laptopilists" style.

you heard it here first!

definitely showing my age or the fact that i used to record with bands -- i too thought SSL was the console, and i too could not figure why any one would (or could) move one around for shows (particularly now that you can get the talkback mic compression as a free plugin from peter g.)

he is using a Rane MP2016a with the XP2016 Effects processor (the EQ section above)

check out www.rane.com or djdeals.com for some pictures. Its a dope ass mixer with amazing sound quality...

 despite that you're ironically talking, i don't know how *far* that is from the truth

As for SSL, count me in the group of people who first thought about studio mixing desks.

Beatmatching is a skill like spelling.

When I'm reading I like it best to have words spelled correctly so what is being said is clear but I can still understand if there are a few mistakes.

When I'm reading I don't mind whether the author used a spell-check on his word processor or not. It just isn't important compared to the music.
