When I'm making sampled hiphop I use the arrangement page... I drag n drop loops, get them in tempo and chop away.. (using control e)
Somtimes when I'm really feeling the sample I zoom in and chop it to really small pieces n drag em into impulse.
I just wish impulse had more banks.
