If you want more hands on and integrated, you might want to check out the novation xstation and the new roland sh-201...

oooh .. I haven't seen that Roland SH 201 yet .. that looks fun.

I have the Micron ... it's well built and sounds great but I honestly use the Nord Lead 2 a hell of a lot more.

Yeah, the sound-engine in the Micron synth is great. But as someone said earlier, the interface is bad. Many compare the Micron to the MicroKorg, but it feels like Micron offers alot more when it comes to programming your own patches and banks, would go for that one if you consider one of them.
