can you please check (if you use WinXP) if your edirol needs CPU just because it is switched on!

I've had an Edirol FA-101 and an RME9636. I'm AMAZED that the Edirol driver is still 1.0.0 - I sold mine about a year ago.

2 big driver issues for me that urgently need an update for....

You can't change the latency without exiting the application. Unheard of these days and a complete workflow stopper.

Low latency operation is terrible. And the audible latency (assuming I'm deciphering the anonymous buffer settings from the control panel correctly) is actually a lot greater on the same buffer settings as the RME which operated flawlessly on the system (which I have since upgraded).

And re the computer hardware, this was on an AMD 64 3700 built by a well known DAW builder. (choice of interface was, stupidly, mine).

Can't comment on the CPU usage though.
