im fairly new to vancouver and ableton live. would like to meet some new people and learn some of the tricks.

on a side note, i may be able to arrange to get some p.a. gear if the locations are lacking in an audio system. i work for an a.v. company ;)

is the ball rolling yet?

I'd love to come up from Seattle for a Users group meeting, IF someone could help set up some performances as well....

It would have to be a weekend though. Gotta pay the rent, ya know.

I just did shows in Seattle and Portland and I'm itching to do more. And to interact with some other Live users.

Hey. New guy here. Been fooling around with Reason for a while and just got Live... wow. Mostly just a bass player but I'm trying to learn everything now :)

Is this meet still in the cards? I'd love to do it and know a few other interested peoples.

Okay wow,.. i TOTALLY forgot to check back on this thread... looks like there is a pretty decent amount of interest for having a ableton live users group meeting in vancouver... and also to have this turn into some kind of open-mic style jam session where people can come in and play their latest stuff, collaborate with other artists, and hear what other people are doing with this awesome software.

I'm looking into venues, and I'm pretty sure I could find a decent venue that would be willing to host this - probably around the main street area, and ideally - liscenced to sell booze hehe

I am down to organize this provided that - we can get a large enough group
-that we can agree on a time / date that works well for everyone. If this goes well I think that a monthly night somewhere could be in works here.

what say yee noble musicans ?

I say that's a wicked idea. except i'm in Prince George now :(

but it's still a good idea, my old roommate is into live and would be totally down. I'll show him this thread.

If you do it around the 20th of august I'm gonna be in town though, so I could probably make it....

This sounds like a lot of fun. Looks like this has been a great idea for a long time... I'm game if anyone wants to jam...?
