That link wil show you the awesome amount of stuff in that book. Besides the 740 page book itself, it comes with two CDROMs packed with information, hundreds of CSound compositions, and audio files. I've made 7 audio CDs of the files from those to listen to in my car over time. Search http://www.labyrinthbooks.com for ISBN 0262522616 and you should be able to get a copy for $22. Other people in this thread are recommending Pd and ChucK which I have not checked out very deeply, but the price is certainly right for them too...
