yep, we can do that, but I think it's the opposite of what you want. perhaps not ..

make a new audio track, set it to monitor 'on' set the source from Impulse, and the pulldown underneath from the noise you want (IE "kick drum")

The limitation there is that you end up with one instrument on each audio track. In the case of 5 hi-hat samples it would better to be able to route them all to one track FROM impulse, IE hat1 (out = "hat track") hat2 (out="hat track")

Thanks for that. Didn't realise you could do that. :) But as you said, a little limiting. It would also be nice to have mono audio tracks. Not everything in the world, especially in drums, is in stereo.

Another vote for an enhanced impulse, especially velocity layering with a crossfade ammount knob on every slot 8)

Simpler got a good update with L5, impulse deserves an overhaul for L6 imho.

if you've got 5 hat samples, then leave them on the impulse channel and route the other 3 somewhere else.

also, it's easy enough to switch to mono via a utility plug, right

i'm not saying the ideas aren't goot, i'm just trying to point out things that possibly weren't realized

Playing around with some ideas how an up-dated Impulse would look.

Maybe with a '+Drum slot' button at the bottom of the controls.
