This is true - one excellent thing about the pcr-30. I've got a doepfer pocket control (pocket dial? i can never remember.) I hooked it up and selected one midi input in Live and another in Reason. I used the pcr-30 keys to mess with a Reason synth and the Doepfer Pocket Thang to play with the Live faders and fx, with both midi ports working independently and pretty damn well.

Feel free to wet your bed over this - I did. Excuse me whilst I run to the mattress shop...

been listening to Arp_Laszlo_-_Symbiote_7.mp3 and like it ;-) I think the PCR30 is the right board for me.

Hi guys,

I've read about the bundle deal they have with Live and the Evolution UC--33 controller.

Is ayone familiar with this controller? Is it any good?? It's cheap though?

raapie: glad you like the choon! got more dancey stuff in the works that hopefully will be done soon.

EneA1: i hear the Evolution is very good with live. i would consider it if i had no other controllers and didn't want keys.

:o

Right RX, that's a bit of my problem too. I'm more interested in a controller which also have keys although you can't actually play music in Live on a keyboard (I believe ??).

What controller is good and has a keyboard also??

I've got the PCR-30, which I use with a Doepfer Pocket Dial. However, the Novation Remote 25 seems to be the mack daddy of controllers at the moment.

ReMote is very cool. the PCR30 has two midi-outs which is something which makes it more useful when running Reason and Ableton for example. but well I am still in the middle of thinking what to buy. difficult!

Audiopad is the best controller I have seen for Ableton, but it will be a long wait before that should be available...

interesting - i read about this a while back. i'm watching the 20mb video and it seems pretty cool, but there seems to be quite a bit of latency. these geeks need some help on their videos though - it was nearly halfway through before it was apparent that their movements actually did something.

any play with those D-beams on Roland groove products? those seem like fun things for live performance.

with my buddy Jamm. we both needed to use a controller so he used Remote25 and I used the 505 ;-) he has both controller. the d-beam is FANTASTIC... the 505 in fact is a very cool controller and a nice backup for live performances which I am planning to do soon with a laptop. before I was just funking on a guitar 8)

Hmm - I was just reading about the 909 and the 2 D Beams seemed pretty cool. And I had just been drooling over the Elektron Machinedrum since last week - decisions to make and no money to spend.

Elektron Machinedrum ... I downloaded some mp3's which sounded fantastic. very interested. if I was into hardware I might have bought it. I am using Reason as my only soundsource... wel and guitar, bass, shakers etc. ;-)
