Hi again Amaury,

Setting the plugin latency same as audio buffer is not solution in my case. I'm only getting CPU spikes up to 7200% when I'm only using Virus Powercore. I'm not facing any kind of similar problem with other hosts, only Live.

Hi - the plug in buffer has been set same as audio, I haven't had the cpu spike in a few days now however I am getting another problem when quitting / saving, on quit the dialog come up asking to save, if I click yes Live will dissappear, quitting unexpectedly and then a dialog comes up asking if I want to send a bug report to Apple. At that point, I need to restart the computer for the program to function normally.

Hello,

Could you send me the crashlog ? It should be in a folder called Crash reporter on your Mac.

Best,

Amaury

Hi again,

Is Ableton gonna include bug fix for Virus Powercore CPU spike problem in 5.2 update? I realized release candidate is released and no mention for Virus.

best,
Hi Earthlinger,

As I stated before, the issues with Live and Powercore are not a simple bug to correct. We are working closely with TC on this, and are collecting informations about user's systems. We don't have many pieces of that device at the office and therefore can not test it with every system available, and the thing is it works mainly on the systems it is on here. We continue to investigate and any revelant information from the users are very benefic for us to fix the problems.

Thanks for your understanding and patience,
Kind regards,

Amaury

Hi Amaury, just wanted to report that the cpu spikes and crashes still remain under Live 5.2 and Mac OSX.4.6. If you would like more crash logs, let me know but they look similar to the ones I've already sent. Thanks, Ed
