if i werent impatient and i had more money, i would buy the ground control, but after a good deal of research and contemplation, i may buy the FCB1010.

$200+ is hard to ignore. much harder than i thought. i am buying other things at the same time as this, which makes it even harder to ignore.

i still don't know how i am going to get all of my gear around now. (i live in nyc and rock the Monthly metrocard HARD)

don't be ashamed of the 1010, it is great. the only advantages I see of the gc are it is smaller and probably better built. The 1010 is very robustly built, has two exp pedal, costs less than half, and has a larger user base, a software editor, and from what I've heard can send more midi commands with any given patch.

Dude thanks!
I wont have a chance to try this till tomorrow but man this could be just the thing!
Montana huh.
Played the top hat more times then I would like to mention.
I was touring with global funk and then with re orleans with russell batiste from the funky meters.
Do you know a band called swyl?
We were using the bass player for a couple of tours. When were you there.
Do you know ryan burnett from signal path?

ggg35--I was there in whitefish growing up from 1980-1995 when I left for school in VA. Damn, playing with russell b--he is a monster on drums. I saw him in Vida Blue with Otiel and Page from Phish--needless to say Page was totally outclassed by the otiel and russell show. I've heard of swyl from friends that still live in the flathead valley, haven't heard of burnett of signal path. If you're hitting montana again, whitefish finally has a decent venue called Flanigans. take care.

This thing is driving me crazy. How do you get it to send CC or MIDI notes? The manual wasn't very helpful.
