Covert Operators Soundwrecks / Trackteam Audio Livefills
Yeah, I'll chime in here too.
I went and bought ModMachines, Trackteam's Livefill bundle, as well as the Covert Operator's Soundwrecks.
I so far have found that I am using more of the Trackteam's stuff, but only because I don't do really crazy, intense music. I find that the Soundwrecks really lives up to its name and offers some mind blowing shit. The Trackteam bundle is full of more "meat n' puhtaytaz" stuff - I've found the travelbox stuff particularly useful.
I haven't received my Tacklebox CD yet, when I get that I'll offer some more comments.
Suffice to say, I think that for the money the Soundwrecks is a wicked deal, particulary for those who are into a lot of cutting edge, or underground music. I have found the Trackteam stuff very useful for jazzy, funky breaks.

Re: Covert Operators Soundwrecks / Trackteam Audio Livefills
Biz question here:mike@TrackTeam Audio wrote:Just to clarify -M. Bréqs wrote:OK. So Trackteam Audio's Livefill 1.5 is $99 (81 euro)
Yet, Covert Operator's Soundwrecks 35 euro.
Can anybody give me an idea on just how much more is in the Livefill to justify the price? What is the total content? Does anybody have any good reviews of either the Soundwrecks 1.1 or the Livefill 1.5?
I'm not trying to trash Trackteam, I just want an idea of "how much you get per dollar" if folks get my drift.
What's in the Soundwrecks? Is it a good go?
If it's worthwhile, I'll probably pick 'em both up... I just got a fat tax return so I'm paying off debt and buying something for the studio but it's gotta be economical (ie no vintage analog synths or nothing).
Thanks!
The 99$ LiveFill Bundle contains Tacklebox, Beatbox and Travelbox, all three can be purchased seperately as well. All of the specs for the products can be found HERE.
I've already bought beatbox 1.0. I'd like to get the bundle, but I'm leaving the country in ten days. Is there anyway to download the 1.5 update without needing the CD?
Thanks,
Steveo
?? - the soundwrecks I have was done pre-operator and is ONLY impulse and simplerdj superflat wrote:i'll second everyone else's fairly noncommittal answers -- both collections are great, i find the track team stuff very useful because it's not just operator focused, has all sorts of good impulse and simpler stuff.
It's not even pre-operator, we simply decided to do a pack for impulse and simpler exclusively - Once again: You do *not* need Operator to run SoundWrecks. The focus is mostly on clip envelopes and effect manipulation.forge wrote:?? - the soundwrecks I have was done pre-operator and is ONLY impulse and simplerdj superflat wrote:i'll second everyone else's fairly noncommittal answers -- both collections are great, i find the track team stuff very useful because it's not just operator focused, has all sorts of good impulse and simpler stuff.
You do, however, need Operator to properly play with our several hundred free Operator patches

Thomas Jefferson. I'll add that credit to my sig. My bad for ommitting it.dj superflat wrote:OT, but i love breq's epigram. where's that from? google will likely provide the answer.
There's a lesson somewhere for me that would pertain to using legit samples and providing credit, but I don't know what that would be yet...

Am having some difficulty downloading all the freebies from the Covert Operators site. Something about not being able to find the host. Is it just me or are others having difficulty downloading it as well?

Hi - Which files are you having trouble with? I just retested a whole bunch of them and couldn't find any problems.mistermoya wrote:Am having some difficulty downloading all the freebies from the Covert Operators site.
