You need to use middle click to move envelope nodes, just like you need middle click to move sliders and potentiometers. You also need middle click to zoom and scroll notes and position in MIDI edit panes. However, you don't need middle click to use scrollbars, when drawing in draw mode, or when selecting, dragging and/or dropping patterns in the session view.

I'm a new Live user but I'd also like to add my support for having Wacom support! :)

please!

Wacom!

Support!

it's silly not to have it. (and no one uses mouse mode on a Wacom of course)

Hi,

We do listen and hear you. It seems that it is not THAT easy to develop the Wacom support on our side, but I will make sure it gets a good attention in our wishlist. I can't tell if or when it will be there exactly, but be sure it is seriously considered.

Regards,
Amaury

Hello Guys,
I am interested in using a graphics tablet for Cubase (and hopefully eventually Live)

Which Wacom tablet would you recommend - bang for buck?

Cheers,
bagginz

Well, I use a Tablet PC. I don't use an add-on tablet, which is why I can't recommend one.

I have the Intuos3 A5, and I'm very happy about it. There is also a wide version of it which sometimes I wish I had since I now use a widescreen monitor, but there's really no good justification to get the wide version if you have the standard one.

One thing I have not tried is to span my desktop across multiple monitors, this might be a bit difficult without the widescreen version.

Also the widescreen version takes up more space on your (real) desktop, I think the size of the normal A5 is a good compromise.

Thanks for the reply leinad. I'll check thatv model out on the web.

Do you find a significant improvement in using apps other than Photoshop etc?

Music apps like Cubase, LOgic , Live etc?

Cheers

I have an older version of the Intuos. I love it. I also have a Fujitsu TabletPC which is more like being addicted to Heroine than using a computer. I couldn't imagine life without my tablets.

It improves the entire "windows" experience. I'm not using Cubase or Logic, it has problems with Live which is the only app which is giving me problems but that has been almost fixed with pen2live. This is so much better than a mouse. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that the pen just doesn't stay where you leave it (right, it does not fly) when you need that hand for the keyboard. And scrolling is also different, the touchpad isn't a good replacement for a mousewheel but many apps don't require a mousewheel.
