black all the way. i never liked the white, its too girly.

thats 1 report and is inaccurate.. the color is not a layer but is evidently the plastic itself.. sneak ino the apple store and try a fingernail underneath in a discrete place it wont rub off. People have also pointed the the white will not show the scratches as badly and you can buff it out the black you cannot buff because it is not a shiney surface.. the other thing is that a black mac looks like it is a PC every pc looks alot like this so why is it suppose to be cool.. then again some people want to hide the fact that it is a Mac and black is not going to draw any attention

white gets dirty. my gf has one and after a year it started to have black blemishes around the keyboard where your palms would rest.

white doeesn't get dirty that fast it think, if you don't rest on it all the time etc (what i don't do) also, it isn't the exacte same surface as the ibook, i think, it's more shiny, so the 'dirt' won't stick that easy.

i think a black one looks more mature, the white one's is for girls and youngsters, lol

I will take budget over black, and am seriously thinking about getting one of these.

You can always buy the 100 gig SATA 7200 rpm drive hitachi recently put out and stick that in there, which is what I will do so I have enough room to use boot camp with partitioning and all.

id go for the white if i were you. same specs for less money. and the black track pad picks up oils from your fingers...the white one doesnt (atleast mine doesnt)
