Also if you have lets say a drum loop if you chop the loop then you can load the samples to the impulse, and you can make your own drum loops using those samples from that loop.rbmonosylabik wrote:Ok, here's a quick example.
First, load your basic loop into a clip. Now, manually warp correctly the section from where you're rearranging the beats. In the picture you'll see a warped bar.
Turn on the Loop button and make the loop marker be over the beat you want to be your 1st beat. Up and down arrows will make the loop marker move forward or backwards (if you have 1 quarter marked, it will move by quarters, same with any other subdivision). Cmd/Ctrl + up or down arrow will double or halve the size of the loop respectively.
In the clips grid, click and drag the clip and whle dragging, press Tab. With this you can move clips from Session to Arrangement view and back. Now, put it in the 1st beat and you'll notice you'll be repositioning the beat(s) you selected with the loop marker.
Press Tab again, select another beat with the loop marker, move the clip between views again and place it where you want. This way, you can chop and rearrange the beats in a loop at will.
When you have a new loop you like, select it all and go to the Edit Menu > Consolidate (Cmd/Ctrl + J). Now it's a single audio file instead of the individual beats.
If you want, you can drag it back to Session view with drag + Tab.
Easy as that. Enjoy.
