My experience with Peak. I bought Peak 5 XT because I always felt that I lacked a good 2 track editing program. Got it in the mail, loaded the discs, registered, got my dongle on, etc. Fire up the software, it opens. I open up an old song to give it a go. Song opens and I hit play. Looks pretty cool. As song is playing I clicked on something to try something out in the software > Peak immediately crashes. I don't bother relaunching because I was tired and pretty unimpressed. A couple weeks later I try to launch again and it doesn't work. The little LED on the dongle is out.
Open Live. Do what I need to do in Live. Don't look back. Fuck Peak.
LIVE 5.2 AND BIAS PEAK 5.2 NOT HAPPY TOGETHER :(

Fuck Peak.
if Live does what you need, why bothering in the first place getting a tool you don't understand or need, i don't mean to be a cocky, but Peak (an enormous powerfull tool) does plenty of stuff Live doesn't that you don't need it, fair enough!, but then again why do you spend 1200 dollar on something you don't need? (and that is working in thousands of studios)Open Live. Do what I need to do in Live. Don't look back.
that is bad economy.

Same here. Installed Peak 5.2.ColdPack wrote:Yes. I've gone back and forth between them with no problem.
Funny side note, though. I use Cubase SX3, too. I hadn't used it since I did the upgrade... until this morning. Same thing. Crash when loading plugins. Then I just restarted Cubase again with no worries.
Weird.

The first launch of Cubase SX3.1.1 and Live 5.2 was wierd but after that all seems ok. In fact in SX3 I had to do force quit the first time as I had the BBOD. The odd thing was the BBOD kicked in when initialising the Waveshell, not mda plugs.
In Live I had the drama at the mda initial stage the first time but next time I booted Live all seemed fine.
