i want one of those mavens already. wtf. why aren't those available?
They are.

It's made with a MIDIBox kit http://www.ucapps.de/

Probably reason it's not selling is because it makes him unique in some
way and all the technology inside belongs to others.

Because the design is flawed and he probably needs to redesign the whole thing.

(Or so i've read...)

which is in our days unfortenuately far more important then anything else, but musically he is lightyears away from "my cup of tea"

personally i am not a fan of all those Paul Von Dykes, Sasha's, Digweeds... and don't think they doing or have done anything interesting. to me it's pure electronic cheesy pop they are doing. really. but that's why they reach the masses i guess.
dude...no offence. There is only one sasha. I dont think pvd falls in the same league as sasha. Sasha is one of the few djs out there who is constantly evolving as a dj and pushing the boundaries of electronic music. I dont think he'd go to all that trouble of designing the maven controller and preparing an arsenal of music for his sets just to 'press play'. He's a musician and he takes pride in that imo....

Nassir, you need to listen to more music if you honestly believe this.

Oh yes he would just press play. A man who charges bujillions of dollars for a single show can't fuck it up, so he lays out 98% of everything in advance. That way it's flawless. Mindless punters don't care about how difficult a performance is (there is no respect for virtousity when they're stoned out of their brains). They're more interested in big showy builds and the intricate perfection of the song structure and how it makes them mentally ejaculate when they drug themselves retarded.

Unlike Sasha, who spends his time perfecting his set(s) (and his setup) down to the last detail beforehand, I spend most of my time PRACTICING my instrument - live and midi controllers. I don't want to sound arrogant, but Sasha is eating my fucking dust when it comes to being on the cutting edge of music...

And I'm nodoby special. He's eating the dust of kids in their bedrooms all across the world. There are dudes who are WAAAAY out there ahead of me that I can't even concieve of.

I sit down to work with a mostly empty pallate on stage and then create on the fly. That screenshot doesn't look like Sasha does that.

My point is that Sasha is so careful, so tame, so mainstream that he pisses skim milk and shits white bread.

i did not meant to offense either, i just stated what i think.
and i do have a lot of respect for people who have succsess in what they do, but that doesn't mean that i personally like what they do / play for that matter.

but i really can't see that sasha ever did anything new, fresh nor groundbreaking. he does solid mainstream IMHO, nothing special, but solid.

and i do RESPECT every artist, but i don't admire any artist!!
i have my very own everything.

don't feel arrogant, that applies to hundred thousands of other artists who can actually play. LIVE.

i second you!! it ain't diffcult to run a programm / prepared concept down opposed to PLAYING, that's why to me stuff like sasha is dead boring.

same with all those record DJ's who just mix for bars from one record into four bars of the next one all night long, just to be dead clean, precise and perfect, yoawn... sleep.

i give a damn about those sort of (to me non!) performers, i rather have a non perfect, non clean of his face dude, rockin' the freakin' hell out!!
