Do yourself a favour.... Stop blaming everyone here and post this again.
This time.... put a descriptive subject on it and don't ask for advice on pirating software....
It'd go something like this.
Subject: Using Live with CDjs?
Hi... I'm new here, just wondering if someone can give me some
information/advice on how Live works with CDj's
Responses would go something like this....
Hey Smile... Welcome, good to have you here....
I use CDj's and this is my setup... they work well.... etc

ok guys i seem to have got off on the wrong foot with everyone on here. Basically i bought ableton and done a ableton course which i didnt finish. All i was shown was cutting loops using pro tools and putting them into a live set. I currently have 2 cdjs and am wanting to use ableton along with them some how. Maybe effects or as another deck.
Also what other equipment would i need to buy as my laptop hasnt a soundcard with 2 outputs and is a midi controller essential for ableton. I dont have the internet at home only in work so cant watch any tutorial videos and basically am messing about at home but not getting very far. Its like ive hit a brick wall with this and cant get my head round it at all.
Sorry if i came across snappy guys im just frustrated.

For what it's worth, and it's not worth much, I've never heard of a crack of Pro Tools. You can't open PT software without the hardware yadda-yadda-yadda.
On the same note, it's well known that most of the cracks of Ableton floating around out there are designed to eventually self-destruct. So if that's what you're using, don't get too comfortable. It's going to say bye-bye real soon.
The thing is, Smiley, we're a tight knit group of a few thousand++ people, and we don't take kindly to people who steal food from the family. Don't take it personally.
I'd recommend an audio interface for you, but we need to know what kind of computer you're using / specs / and what you intend to do (dj, compose, record, etc).

Cool man thats grand. Totally know where your comming from. My version of ableton is an original as i took out a loan and got it, laptop and started an ableton course. Straight in at the deep end i know. Little did i know i would need and audio interface, midi controller, pro tools ect as well. Im frustrated at spending all that money for something that is pretty useless to me.

Any wave editor will do. You don't have to use PT. There are a LOAD of free wave editors available.
I still use cooledit

but I loves it I tells ya!
A way around using a midi controller is to use dummy clips. I could easily do away with my midi controllers now that I've got dummy clips down...

Hey Patch, nothing to be

about being a Cool Edit user. I've never spoken to a CEP user who wasn't totally in love with it. It's a shame that it's PC only, otherwise I would sell a lot more copies of Audition.
I don't DJ with Live, but I do have a few DJ Live Sets that I mess around with. I bought a pair of Tech 1200s because I want to get into it, but I haven't gotten around to getting a DJ mixer yet. The reason I mention it is that I'm not sure why having a second audio sequencer like Pro Tools or Cool Edit is crucial to DJing with Live. Can't you get everything done in Live?

Well done Sales Dude!!! 1200's are the finest TT ever built - and an essential piece of kit for the turntablist!
The reason I still use cooledit is just for some off the effects it has. I really like using the gliding stretch effect. Changing tempo without altering pitch/pitch without altering the tempo can get some great results. Couple that with some beat repeat/Livecut and your rockin', Boyo!!
I never use the multitrack window in CEP - just the waveform page. CEP is the shiz for messing with audio!

You don't even need Cool Edit to cut loops - do it straight in Live instead!
Warp the track, then drag it over to arrangement. Unfold the waveform, then just cut your loop with the "Split" command. Then drag the loops back to Session.
Wasn't much of a course if they didn't teach you that!
