Torq seems a lot like a Traktor competitor (which is fine, just not my thing). But Conectiv looks like it is probably totally retarded. A controller for DJs needs a crossfader, minimum.

Sure, but I think the point is still valid. If I'm meant to DJ with this out of the box, I'm going to have a real hard time doing it without a crossfade. From what I saw you would use your standard mixer to crossfade. This is just the interface to bridge your computer with the mixer and turntable. According to M-Audio's site it's USD 299.95. I think you'd be paying for Torq rather than for the interface.

That looks like it woud work very well along side with live. That way all the people here that are asking for live to scratch and do more "dj like" stuff can have that running and then flip right back to live when it comes time to do more ableton live type things. It has phono preamps and offers a very small footprint. I would not want to use only it but hey it is what it is.

IT would be the bomb if you could assign clips to load up as samples in it. I like to colab with some of my dj friends and would love to be able to make a loop and then instantly assign it to their turntable. Think of what you could do with live vocals

It's actually pretty cool. That hardware is just a means of getting the timecode vinyl to work with the software. It may be a more but I don't remember. The thing I dug about it was that it had some great features built into the software. Some really cool effects along with the ability to use vsts. It also utilizes iTunes playlists and can store metadata along with iTunes to keep track of your songs etc so you don't have to replicate song data.

all you would have to do is resample yourself in live to a clip location. Can you use it with just one turntable like in Serrato? Putting tracks into cd mode etc? What about playing regular vinyl through it?
