I'm not part of any 'crew'.... I don't know anyone here all that well. Maybe it's just Melbournites who don't like people being negative.... I call them how I see them!

Anyway, it WOULD be cool if Ableton somehow made it possible to change the signature and/or tempo using a tempo track or something.

Peace.

you can change the tempo in arrange in the master section envelopes. signature isn't there for some reason.

you can of course set each clips sig, but that is pretty much useless for making an arrangement. It leaves you with a master grid in arrange of (whatever/whatever) -
EG : in a recent song I go from 6/4 to 14/4 , if I set my global to 6/4 and then try editing the later part of the song - it is unreadable. If I try and trigger a 14/4 clip from session to record into the later part of the song it will actually trigger on the begining of the 6/4 bar.

+1 to this, pretty basic functionality in this day and age that's needed if writing to picture.

This is from 4 years ago. Yes, you can change time sigs now by renaming a scene (EX: 6/8 111 bpm). That triggers the change.

also, time signatures in arrangement are easy to use and pretty flexible

I love a good necro-bump.
What next, a post about the lack of midi sequencing in Live?
