People are also used to companies releasing software that has not been properly tested where people basically pay to become beta testers. We know that no matter how many resources a company has, they will never be able to replicate all the conditions that their user base represents. Ableton's goal is to make the best, most stable software for performance out there, and allowing its users to test is a great idea. We get a first-hand look at the new features and Ableton gets help in ironing out bugs. Who benefits from this in the end? We do.
