I did the reset. I'll have to see if it worked though. Mine's intermittent. Sometimes it's fine then it will stop working, then be fine again.

Thanks stinky. Maybe I will start using the PCR again if all of this works. I was pretty dismayed after I got seriously using it about these two problems, so updated my main MIDI stuff (yamaha p-200, nice keys) with a uc33e and then a BCR2000. But if this works, I will have another nice alternative.

my weird little Roland controllers do this sometimes - opening the unit, loosening the membrane (grey rubbery thing) and cleaning underneath it with a cotton thingumajig works. Every time.
