seems to me like the best way to end the stigma of words and change how people feel about them is to start using them more and more in NEW(and unoffensive) contexts. the more the words are used in a non offensive way the more people will stop being so sensative about them.
so I'm very pro the master/slave termonology. maybe it will help the matters.
or maybe we should just call them white/black and get it all over with yeah? (devils advocate...)
