i agree, and hope a solution is implemented soon.

i think icedsushi had a really good idea about how to accomplish this.

truncating "early" notes is a deal-breaker, because that will change the FEEL of what you just played -- and that's exactly the problem we're hoping will be solved.

mmm-- i'm sure people implement live MIDI looping in lots of different ways, but what just occurred to me is:: 1) once "early-on" implementation is solved, allow for a midi clip (perhaps the first one recorded but not necessarily) to be selected as a Master midi clip. Then you can set the brackets as you like (either quantized to bar/etc. or not). all additional midi loops you record could then be "linked to midi master clip". you could move the start bracket exactly where you wanted and then length of the midi clip would be set identical to the length of the Master clip (perhaps with right-click options for 1/2 length and 2x length for creating instant shorter and longer phrases).

other solutions::: record your MIDI as Audio into an additional track and loop that instead of the Midi

become a much better keyboard player

peace out

I like icedsushi infinite sustain idea..
I really miss such an option for long evolving drones..

a thing I suggested during beta is that if the length on the Note Length device is set to zero it would infinite sustain notes instead of 'muting' them..

could be useful as well..
