You dont.....you minimize it.

Kinda a stupid question... which will no doubt recieve stupid answers
Well, All I've seen are uh, no answers - except for rtopia's which is technically correct, but an unnaceptable option (I'm sure he agrees :) ). But I'll take your premise:

How do you minimize terrorism?

Go for it. I'm all eyes... Would love to learn. Thanks,

"you encourage all the in the world to give the terrorists what they want - except for one"
(ideally yours)

there's one target left to hit - thus minimizing terrorism worldwide as a whole

ps. unacceptable? yes. but I figured I remain consistent to my cold response to the depleted uranium question

Premise????
Do yo think that I really have the answers???
I am wary of the question because i think that it belongs to those other rehtorical questions like "how do we stop homelessness and poverty"

Most of the reasonable anwers are unnaceptable because of the scope of the solution is beyond any indivduals way of taking action.

I dont have a solution, but i gotta say that the actions being taken are not working.

Do you really belive that invading Iraq in the name of stopping terrorism against the US has worked?

Or better yet...
Have you ever done a line, or smoked a joint, or popped a pill?

If you have, you quite possibly might have aided a terrorist.

Stop doing those things and minimize the amount of terror inflicted on you

You can't stop terrorism!

Just like we can't
win
the war on drugs.

both are not even true wars, they are money making agendas.

Well, I'm a stoner. So i'm on the winning side of the war
No secrets. I just live very very close to Holland.

The weed gets delivered to your home. Shrooms can be bought at a pharmacy (or ordered from the net)..

It's all so normal that you can actually make a cop feel ashamed for bothering you about this crap
Especially because they're usually drunks (the old district cops  )

Rob - Theres no easy answers. I would say that America's foreign policy is largely to blame for these 'terrorists'. Support for Israel and a long list of other actions are enough to make Muslims feel as if America is waging war on them. Violence is a natural response to violence. Acting more compassionately in the world would remove the motive for terrorism. Why would you attack someone who helps you?
I'm sure you feel that this is naive, that there is a group of determined Islamic fundamentalists that are waging war on the west. I don't deny that there are some people like this but I ask you to question just what the extent of this movement is. I believe that since 9/11 there has been a huge amount of talk from politicians and the press that vastly exaggerates the extent of the threat. How many time do you hear talk of terrorism in the media?
Is there equivalent time spent analysing America's foreign policy and the effect this has had and is having on the world?
The fact that you started this thread shows how much you believe that terrorism is the main problem in the world today. I suggest that this belief has been largely constructed by the people in power in order to garner support for their foreign policy.

I don't have to do anything to win this war. Thats the whole point.
It's a silly meaningless thing "the war on xxxxx".
It's usually the first talking point of a heap of propaganda.
The war on drugs / gay marriage / marriage / immigrants /......

They declared the war, so they are always losing.
Because if they would be winning, there would be no reason for war

Simply put, you can discuss it from all viewpoints. The conclusion will be that it's total bullshit.
Just another funny segment in a fake news show.....

It will eventually come to an end. But indeed, how do you take it back?
And as far as being a narcotic freezone... I wouldn't call weed and shrooms real narcotics.
I know the hard stuff is more present in the bigger cities like amsterdam and rotterdam. But thats not any different from any other major city afaik. Brussels and Antwerp are bad too...
Paris is far worse...
