Yeah, I vote for proper beat warping too, where it doesnt have to fit to a rigid grid - where each warp section is properly stretched, or use the recycle backwards/forwards loop method (which works really well most of the time). It would be nice to be able to ditch recycle, but till live can make beats as tight I'll keep going back to it.

ya, I figured you'd chime in o bread that is stale!
I know how much you want a slicer.
But I'm not even talking about a slicer utility which could be rearranged by midi (although that would be cool too). I'm just talking purely for warping purposes.
And I'm not even meaning to criticize, I was sorta figuring maybe there was a reason. Having thought about it though, I see how warping and slicing are too different things, and beat mode is much more similar to the other styles of warping, all being stretch based, and slicing beeing cut based. so ya, a slicer would be a handy addition.
I still say the most important thing in warping would be a way to maintain the original timing in beat mode when moving warp markers. Perhaps an option to set the end marker as the end of a certain length, and keep relative positions of transients within. or something.
