Limited in Live!!!!!!???? Eh!!!!??? Limited to what? Until a month ago I was still banging out commercially released tracks using an Atari STe, an Akai 3200xl and a couple of analogue synths and a mixing desk.
I'd record vox in the Akai and produce full vocal tracks. Now with Live there are NO LIMITS.....the only limit is your mind and attitude.
Play about and experiment with sounds and arrangements.
Do things you wouldn't normally do.
Have FUN!
Nine times out of ten you'll come up with shit but it's all worth it for that one time you stumble on something good.

My computer doesn't do anything!
I installed Live and went away for a week, when I came back I was expecting "professional quality" music, but nothing, silence.
This is a disgrace, am I supposed to do everything?
GarageBand will make songs, release them and send me publishing money, then purchase a home in the Alps. Live does none of this and the sound quality is not as good as Logic I am very sure of that.
Personally I think that it was a waste of time installing this crack.
Sorry.
I tried a week without being sarcastic, I just couldn't make it.
tough week & sarcasm my only pleasure.

Re: i feel limited in live
There! you have been told off that your are the problem by people with many posts so you must listen to them.jerryroy wrote:i dont know why but i feel limited in live because of there limited sounds. not like fl studio or reason
I hear what your saying regarding the included sounds. I dont have any of the live packs. Im a make my own sound type of bloke but the sounds and samples that came with Live 5 are the worst I have ever come across. supplying a basic sqaure tone and a bit of white noise as examples of Simpler is a lack of imagination and thought. those that like to fill their drives with included sounds Live seems a bit thrifty for sure.
As much as I hate to agree with those lot above I must say they are essentially correct in that you need to go and find your own sounds. Propeller do a great job with included sound banks but considering their software its something they really need to do. Lives user base is a cross range of users from DJs to music scoring for films so a library that may sound good to you may not sound good to someone else.
Ableton should improve on their included sounds and ditch their bias toward bleepy and clicky sounds.
HA HA HA
Thats great...Willyum wrote:No, that's not Live, your systems are screwed. I'm at 17% with 10 tracks all FX and lots of quick edits..... And my system is a ($550) budget system.friendselectric wrote:yeah i get the same trouble with only 6 audio tracks and almost no fx... it makes it alost impossible to use for writing... also the timing of the audio tracks drift out of time with each other,,,njh wrote:i am working on a song with only 8 audio tracks and get drop outs so bad that the music will just stop playing and i will have to restart live..
!!!
im at 30 percent with 8 tracks...
i dont think the cpu meter has anything to do with it.
also like i said these are not midi or samples from a sample cd.. this is
one drum track one bass and six guitar tracks.
i am using an amd 64 3300+ with a gig of memory two 80 gig hard drives @7200rpm and a line six ux1 as the interface. its not the ux1... how do i know this? because i have recorded more tracks in krystal (wich is free!!!) with out audio drop outs.
it is live.. the end...
