Yeah, one of my justifications for going digital was it's going to save me hella money

$11.99 for imports at Platinum right?

yeah :rolls eyes: I've got over $50 in my shopping cart on Beatport.com

But, i do get more bang for my buck and the needle wont wear the records down after about 10 plays - they'll always still hot and sharp

probably the dopest thing about digital is being able to actually mix my music with the big dogs music - it's awesome

gives me ideas as to where things should and shouldn't break - the length of my tracks and whatnot

Digital music has actually helped my production - especially when it comes to sequencing

try this if you like clunky minimal techno - fucking brilliant stuff
it's been one of my favorite labels, free or not, for the past year

and they offer the entire catalog in .flac!
Unfound is definitely good stuff. If you haven't already you should check out textone as well - the link is in my post above. I just got releases 22 and 24, both are quality minimal releases. Also, if you haven't already, there is a whole thread devoted to net labels at mnml.nl - link above as well. Check it out.

I used to rave about Beatport. Now I won't shop there. They recently put their prices up by 87% for the UK and 30% for the rest of the EU...

i never check my credit card statement - even though i should. I'll be interested to see if its in AUS dollars for us down under [meaning its cheaper], i very much doubt it though. afterall you charge 9.95 baht would you so why go the other way. you always get 'fatladded' in the UK. its a way of life.

that was the great thing about beatport - the exchange rate. looks like its started already. the big draw to digital was the how cheap it was compared to vinyl. this allowed labels to produce promos and tracks at very little cost. yet now digital is more expensive than a vinyl doublepack [in the uk a least]. you try and do the right thing and you hosed. everyone goes back to soulseek and they are the first one to complain about being ripped of. the irony of it.

You should head over to ALDJ. Max Graham hangs out over there.

That's right - Max Graham uses Live - and he seems like a really nice bloke.
