Between the two, the padKontrol has much better pads. With the TF, you had to hit in the center of the pad for it to register. The PK is much more sensitive all the way to the edge. Plus there is the touchpad...

The PK is much better IMHO. I had both and sold my TF...

Hmm,

I'm touching the very corner of a Trigger Finger pad and it registers.

And I love the silky feel of the pads. I would have to say that the only drawback are the drivers.

I agree.

Also, I owned an Akai MPD-16. I found it's pads to be the best of the lot, but only SLIGHTLY better than the PadKontrol.

The downside of the MPD-16 is that it has only 2 banks (the others have 16) and it's lack of knobs / other controlers. 1 slider just doesn't cut it.

I can't comment on the MPD-24, but if it has the same pads as the MPD-16, it's gonna be sweet.
