I made the leap to Pro tools a year ago and caught on quickly.I couldn't imagine just jumping straight into these programs without the musical experience behind me.Good luck and thanks for the tips,i really agree with you on the warp tool.That is totally a jedi masters skill.I've come a long way since the start of this thread and i'm feeling a little more comfortable about making the purchase.And i'd also pay good money for a step by step tutor but until then it's back to the grindstone.

Thanks for the heads up on the book coolpillows i'm gonna hit a bookstore tomorrow for that.I come from a musical background i play several instruments and was into recording since the days of the 4 track tape recorder(remember the early 90's
