How do I vote for two? Mac Pro ARE Intel.
The new Mac Pro Workstations are sweet, but I'm sure you get more "bang for your buck" from a PC.
I personally would take the elegance, stability, virus-resistance, etc of OSX over Windows, especially if using it professionally. And the fact that a Mac will run both is just icing on the cake.
The results of your poll will be flawed, as Mac Pro ARE Intel-based, while PCs can be AMD or Intel.

I think there was a cost breakdown where this turned out to not be true, but I couldn't tell you where I saw it.

AMD. Running a stripped down version of windows with almost all the services and GUI effects turned off.
If I had to buy a processor today with audio production in mind and money wasnt an issue I would definetly go with this...
AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Windsor 2.8GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Dual Core Processor
But really its just all personal preference...all the mac vs pc and intel vs amd stuff is all just hype....intel and amd will always be neck and neck.

I have just bought some second-hand stuff to improve on my old Athlon XP.
I got an Athlon-64 x2 3800 on an Asus A8N-SLI Premium. Also added in a new SATA2 320GB hard drive for the system. I have 2 Gigs of DDR ram as well.
Hopefully that will keep me in the game for a little while yet. I haven't set it up yet but with some overclocking I hope to run Ableton Live 6 and Komplete 4 without much ado.
