yes, i agree
the best remedy i know is to cover your gear with something
so you avoid that when cleaning all the dust finishes in the faders
and knobs.... with the well known problems that follow...

Also, be careful using some of those household disposable dusters too, a lot fo them have chemicals to attract more dust, and it can discolor your gear over time.
