actually - just to clarify - in the Alpha they confirmed all this feature in the prefs actually does is allow you to stop live from loading up a second time if you accidentally click it twice

macs do this by default anyway

there is no new change to do with syncing or anything like that, so whatever you are experiencing you could have done on a PC with version 5

you will notice if you load it up twice you still get the "rewire master detected, rewire disabled" etc

HA ha! D'Oh, arh... so maybe this faux pas is the reason for the soiled didies :P thanks for point that out...

well, ok, so there you go. hee that is funny if that's the intent... well, hrhmm then I'm starting to get irritated like melo' -- what is 'allow multiple instances' supposed to mean ... :?:

but it definitely does seem to actually work, much better than it did when I tried doing this with 5. I'm going to mess around with this anyway. (right, I'm not too concerned about the rewire aspect of the thing).

It's under the "Look Feel" tab in prefs, it's an on/off button on windows. But if it does what it does by default on a mac, it may not be available.

speaking of which, there hasn't been a 6.02 release, I guess they're all on vacation and/or getting over the celebretory hangovers.

Hm. pc, only?. I've tried to make a copy of the application file, and I can indeed open a second instance on the macbook, although it complain that there is another rewire master install. I could get them to sync via iac or something. So it should be possible to implement on a mac too.
