Nah, that's the well reckognised sound of NI shitting on their customers. Still, I stand by my inferrence that the OP really asked a pretty stupid question...

Still, not quite as bad as Apple who want 200 quid for an update to Logic 7.2 from any earlier version of Logic because they don't have Emagics old customer database and so don't know if you're a legal owner of any version of Logic. So they assume everyone should pay top dollar. Money grabbing shites - Ableton's definately been the best about this transition from all the software I own...

Relax brethren.
I'm just 'joking' ...heh - maybe you should visit the 'dealing with stress' topic.

And as I said - I like these threads, hell I love them. There are many of them, definatly, and I enjoy them all. And really what kind of help do you expect ? Other than perhaps, amateur psychiatry or a sensitive shoulder to cry on ? Its funny, because NI have such a bad rep...like the guys who do the three-card trick, and all these sorry suckers get together chatting about how they lost their money to the guy doing the three card trick - as if they expected something else.

hoho! NI will never get it right. I'm sure we'll all die and go to hell before that happens.
Do you think that changing the "realease" dates 7 times is acceptable? How bout announcing "a few days" for the ub of guitar rig a month ago, telling many ni members 'a whole lot next weeks/should be's and so on' just to say now november........that shouldn't piss people off?

What about saying since january release dates (albeit changing regularly) for the guitar combos........just to be told they are discontinued and now will never be UB's..........

those two things are over the top.........even for ni.............

Its a business...
but they ask their customers to "understand" their problems a lot.
But when its update time... they dont understand nuttin but cash.

N.I. is the opposite of Ableton.

I am doing a documentary on Intellectual Property...
Its the nearly the only thing my N.I. products
are usefull for these days.

Kore midi crashes 2-many computers to mention.
And this UB stuff is all about Xmas bullshit.

Come on N.I. groupies.
speakup about how good N.I. are...
OR
How about an Emo-Rap about how
I dont "understand" N.I.'s problems ...blah...blah...blah.

Ive heard all this shit before.

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Kore BUG reports
90% of customers DO NOT COMPLAIN...
so multiply these problems by about 10...

Love Ableton, its the opposite of N.I.

BUY OPERATOR and SAMPLER.
amen..........

hmm... They probably don`t bother to much with such an insignificant platform as OSX. :D
Well that's NI's fucking problem for not seeing the future.
....btw, did you know that NI was the first company at winter namm in january to announce "full support" for intel macs?.......how's that workin' out........

You had to post to ask this to figure it out? Actually, I'm sure everyone else who's waiting is totally happy about it. To be honest I'd be happiest if NI pushed the UB updates to March '07. *plop*

Not sure why your pickin' on dude.........but that is a funny post.......

and no, none of us are happy...........

I don't know why people are even waiting for UB's from NI anymore to be honest. I mean, yeah their stuff can be cool, but with customer support like that I think I'd feel safer cutting my losses and going with software from companies that have a good track record for customer support.

As mentioned, UB's might be out in November, but stability? It'll be another revision likely before the bugs get ironed out, and you KNOW how long they take with updates too.

Anyone who participates in all the complaining, and then turns around and gives NI their money for UB's deserves what they get :) There's soooo many synths and effects companies out there these days....

We deserve what we get.............sorry, I don't buy into it.

Let's take guitarsts/bassist into account..........what would you reccommend?

AMPLITUBE 2.........oooo, sorry.....not ub.......plus I don't want a third dongle.

waves GTR.............ooo, sorry, not covered under my ilok coverage.......so it would be roughly 1500 to get the one waves plug covered and have the plugin........and I'd have no bass..........

line 6.........ooooo, sorry, I don't like that one.........plus once you add the "vst" capability.........it's starting to cost too much.............

ampeg svx..............nope. Like amplitube, it requires another dongle.......and is not UB.....................

what's left?

I'll tell ya.......out of all the software companies........no one sticks it to people better than ni.........

and out of all the software companies........nobody has a fanbase that will say anything to those of us who are pissed........it's really quite funny!

iZotope Trash. Ok, the GUI is not very guitarist-friendly but with Live6, you can put it in a rack and assign the most important parameters to the macros "knobs"
MacBookPro, OSX 10.6.4, MOTU Ultralite

Live Suite 8, MaxMSP 5, Max For Live, Logic Studio 9, Wave Editor

OK, once again, almost half of the MAJOR players in soft synths have NOT gotten all their UB's out yet, Gforce, Arturia, Spectrosonics, AAS, REFX, etc.

Tassman, Moog Modular, Oddiity, etc. the list goes on of companies that have not released UB versions yet. That only say "soon" when asked about a time frame.

The only problem I have with NI is they release a projected dater for completion, and it's really impossible for any company to really know when a complete rewrite of your software will be done. So mac loyalists, who refuse to acknowledge to any degree that it's at all Apple's fault, take issue with NI for simply trying to inform their users when they think they might be done with the port.

Reality is Apple gave ZERO notice for the introduction of Intel chips, ZERO notice that they would shave SIX MONths off the introduction of the hardware, and NI coded all their mac plugs in CodeWarrior which up until then was just fine. NI aren't the only ones caught off guard, there really are only about half the plug ins on the intel macs right now, period.

You guys want to whine and bitch like little kids because NI tried to let you in on the details, but seriously, companies like PSP that don't say anything at all piss me off more. At least I have the impression that NI are working on it.

Not sure why NI are easy targets for the mac crowd, it's getting old though. stability issues really aren't that bad on my machines, and it just seems like hot air.
