right, I don't have a problem with the guidelines. I think it is interesting because it provides some insight into how a label thinks and directs its submissions into something it wants.
not a bad thing. And no one is forced to really obey it or even submit anything. One can always create their own label if they disagree with the premise.

not really, 350 people could've clicked on the site a little less than 3 times each
unlikely, but it would explain the 1000 clicks

Daso´s "Sam N´Max" is an awesome track, one of my favorite of the past few months, very James Holden-esque.
Yeah, I think he has a full length lp coming out soon... the track on the My Best friend comp is called daybreak and it's just bliss...
If your into that, check out the artist Oxtounge or Oxtongue, one of those two spellings. He put out a ep on Kompakt Pop a few years back which is one off my favorite releases on the label.

It's very simple:
- Riley pays for the release, it's his money.
- He apparently knows what sells (given his succesfull labels)
So he's right

its like when u go to an italian restaurant, somebody said on livesets.com. there u also get a wide range of food, like u get a wide range of good music at traum. still its
italian
